One Market, One Law : The EU Inc. Regulation has entered a decisive phase in the European Parliament
The EU Inc. Regulation has entered a decisive phase in the European Parliament, with a very large number of amendments now tabled in the Legal Affairs Committee. The level of engagement says something in itself: this file matters to Europe's competitiveness.
One Market, One Law is glad to see several of the principles it has defended since its launch reflected in the amendments now on the table:
- a regime open to all companies, whatever their size or sector
- a genuinely European core, with the reference to national law confined to what falls outside company law
- and the perspective of a wider European business law framework, of which the EU Inc. would be the first step
We are grateful to the Members and their teams for the quality of the exchanges over the summer.
The Committee will consider the amendments on 7 September. One Market, One Law will continue to contribute to a regime that is open, coherent and built to last.
